Primitive Reflex Integration

Primitive reflexes are automatic movements that develop in utero and are present at birth. These reflexes are essential for the survival and development of infants, aiding in activities such as breastfeeding, grasping, crawling, visual tracking, and responding to the environment.

Typically, these reflexes are integrated or inhibited as the central nervous system matures, allowing for more complex and voluntary movements. However, in some individuals, primitive reflexes persist beyond infancy, leading to various challenges in motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive functions.
